  • Regarding The chorus in general
  •
  • A huge thank you for your performance at the Perivale Library Christmas event [on 3rd December 2023].

You were the highlight of the event, and we have received lots of feedback on how wonderful you are.

A group of us from West Ealing WI book group were enjoying our Christmas meal upstairs at The Forester. We came down to hear you. What a lovely way to end the evening. You were superb.

What a beautiful surprise to hear the sweet melodic sounds of Capital Chorus float through the shopping centre last weekend. It makes shopping even more enjoyable and has inspired me to join a choir!

Great performance by @CapitalChorus at the grand opening of @Openealing
Arts Centre this evening. Only problem is now I can't get the Java Jive out of my head!

On behalf of all of us at Pitzhanger, I wanted to thank you and the rest of the members of Capital Chorus for singing so beautifully at the Pitzhanger Summer Party last week.

It was a wonderful to see you emerge onto Soane's steps in your fabulous, striking orange shirts, and it really added a special touch to the celebrations and the sense of summer to have you with us to kick off the party in style.

Every year at Northfields Allotments we open our gates to local residents to come and enjoy this beautiful green space. This year Capital Chorus came along to sing for our visitors. They were a joy. Everyone I spoke to said how much they enjoyed their singing.

They totally captured the mood and atmosphere of our event. At one point a group of them peeled off to serenade the volunteers on the cake stall (to the great amusement of our visitors), and then four went on to entertain the people at the plant stall, to a round of applause.

Getting the entertainment right for an event is always tricky as people have such different tastes in music. But, their wide range and lovely voices meant that they were a big hit with our visitors and we would love to see them back again at our next open day.

If you are thinking of putting on an event, I would highly recommend you get in touch with them.

As ever, you were excellent. Everyone I spoke to said how much they enjoyed your performance. Well done lads!

Capital Chorus, what a beautiful sound, full of passion and fun.

Inspired arrangements and presentation that had me entranced from the moment they started, and left me shouting for an encore.

I saw Capital Chorus in December last year at St Stephen's Church, Kensington.

This was the first time I'd seen the choir and in truth didn't really know what to expect. Well, what a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The enthusiasm of all concerned was something to behold. Great music performed by a very talented group who clearly enjoyed every aspect of their performance.

If you haven't seen Capital Chorus yet, then what are you waiting for? I can thoroughly recommend them.

Last December I was invited to see a show in town, featuring the 'Chicken shed group', the South Kensington singers, and my old chorus 'Capital Chorus'.

They put on a varied and enjoyable set. I particularly enjoyed the comic number featuring Smart phones on a darkened stage. A very entertaining programme, I left feeling proud to have been one of the original members.

    - John A Lucas, Greenford

My family enjoyed Capital Chorus singing a wonderful selection of Christmas carols and musical numbers in the open air as part of the Christmas celebrations around Sloane Square.

The singing was great and they added charm and humour to their performances. We especially liked the way they mixed the traditional and unexpected in their set.

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing the Barbershop performance that your choir gave last December at St Stephen's Church.

You were so polished and sang and performed brilliantly…I am not in the least bit surprised that you win prizes. I loved every minute and could have listened for much longer.

I will definitely come and see you another time and if I were throwing a party I would love to have you as a cabaret!

    - Hazel Morris

Hearing your group of Barbershop Singers was a delight. I loved the choice of songs , the wonderful synchronising of your voices and the joy I experienced listening to you all.

If I ever have a function I would without doubt contact you to make the occasion the best.

I heard you folks singing Christmas songs outside Sainsburys, West Ealing just before Christmas .... You sounded awesome!! I was so impressed. Well done to you all. I loved it.

Singing with you in May was one of the highlights of my vacation. Thanks again for your hospitality and for allowing me to stand on the risers and share your music. You guys rock!

It was billed as Pauline's special surprise party, and what a surprise it turned out to be when fourteen smartly dressed men walked into the hall to be part of my 60th birthday celebrations.

What followed was half an hour of wonderful entertainment by the group of barbershop singers, who were well deserving of the standing ovation they received. The audience of all ages were captivated and thoroughly enjoyed the lively presentation.

Thank you, Capital Chorus for making my birthday celebrations so special.

Just a note to say thank you so much for the fantastic evening you gave us last Thursday. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive - both from staff and patients - particularly patients.

The sense of communal togetherness that the singing created between chorus and audience was remarkable - I always thought it would work, but didn't expect the experience to be quite so powerful for everyone.
